Self Care Books That I Love

This past December, I finally decided to get Audible and I'm SO happy that I did! I absolutely love reading books but rarely find the time to sit down and actually read or if I did, it was days in-between getting to do so and it would drive me crazy waiting when all I wanted to do is read and know what was going to happen next. As much as I still love sitting down and reading a book, audiobooks has allowed me to finally "read" the books that have been on my reading list for so long!

It is a little bit of an investment but I'd happily give up a few lattes each month. Audible has become a part of my routine everyday and I have already read three amazing self care books that I wanted to share with you!

The Simplified Life: Tactical Tools for Intentional Living by Emily Ley

This book is easily one of my top favorite reads. I have read other books that focus on simplifying, decluttering and minimalism but felt that sometimes they are a little "too extreme" for the everyday person. The Simplified Life is perfect if you are seeking the motivation to simplify your life, your home, the everyday responsibilities, and more. It's practical and has already made such a difference in our home!

The Wellness Project: How I Learned to Do Right by My Body, without Giving Up My Life by Phoebe Lapine

This book is SO good. I love learning more about health, nutrition, and anything to do with promoting a healthy and happy lifestyle. The author is very open with discussing her wellness journey and shares all of her steps along the way. She spent so much time researching and visiting specialists in order to get answers to what it means to live a healthy life. Such a good read. One of my favorites!

You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero

The author shares life stories in order to inspire you to embrace who you are and understand why you are that way. She coaches you on how to take on life and explains how it's become normal for us to make excuses to continue in our ways but we have the ability to change them. I would say that there are some parts that are a bit controversial based on the reviews although I was not personally offended. So I would keep that in mind if you do choose to read this book. However, as I said, I thought it was a great read!
